Preparing for Your Kickoff Call

The 30-minute kickoff call is designed to start off the Client/IBO relationship on the right foot. During the call, you can expect to meet our Operations Manager and discuss an action plan for getting started along with the logistics of working together, such as project management tool, how you want to communicate, and processes.

In order to prepare, please come to the meeting with the following:

  • Your top priorities that you hope IBO can help with
  • Your expectations for working with the team
  • What Project Management tool (if any) you'll be using to assign tasks to our team members
  • Your communication and turnaround time expectations
  • How you'd like to communicate with our team (email, Slack, through your PM tool, etc.)
  • Any questions you might have
What to do After the Kickoff Call

After the kickoff call, you’ll receive a summary of the action plan and contact information for each of the service areas you will be starting with.

Once you have the team members' contact information, you can start assigning them tasks.

What's the best way to work with your team?

Add our team to your tools and processes (just like you would if you hired an employee). Assign tasks with as much clear detail as possible and due dates. And over-communicate! This blog post is an excellent guide on the best way to delegate tasks.

What do I do if I need help with another service?

Feel free to reach out to Amy Foley (amy@inboundbackoffice.com) and she'll connect you with the right person on the team.

Are you closed for business on any specific holidays?

You can view the IBO Holiday Calendar for the holidays we observe annually. On those days, we do not require— or expect— our team to work. However, some team members might choose to work on holidays. To be safe, it's best to plan that our team will be unavailable on these dates.

How does your billing work?

Our billing is very simple. Our team members will run their timers for any work done including, but not limited to, consultations, all communication about your projects/work, time estimates over 5 minutes, correspondence, etc.

Can you give us time estimates?

Absolutely! If requested, our team will give estimates of how long it will take to complete a task/project. Please note that any time estimate that will take longer than 5 minutes to complete will be charged to you.

What do I do if there's an issue?

It is our goal to make your life easier! If you have any issues at all (with a team member, billing, etc.), please let us know ASAP! We'll work with you to fix the problem and adjust our processes to make sure you don't experience the same problem again.

Do you offer a referral bonus?

Yes! You will receive a $250 credit when an agency you send to us signs up and does $1,000 in billable work.
